Luxe Cutlery - Case study

Designing innovative cutlery for first-class cabins.

The client was a long-haul airline seeking a premium 4-part cutlery set for their first-class meal service. They requested a pattern on the handle for grip and a premium feel.

Exploring options for exposure.

The design process started with the sketching process to explore possible designs to proceed with. These designs are presented to the client for approval.

Sketching with detail.

Feedback and development sketches show the design in a more detailed light. This helps clients decide whether the design can be approved for CAD.

Engineering the design.

Our designers develop CAD models of the products and create technical sheets that can be sent to our partner factories for processing.

In this case, the cutlery was specified to be forged in 18/10 stainless steel with a polished finish.

Delivering a refined product to market.

We provide renders and 3D visualisation of the outcome once computer modelling is complete for our clients to see. This helps them approve the design or propose changes if they wish to do so.

Our goal is to design products with enough visible detail to ensure your expectations are met!
